Lee Note 95 Update on Brigadier Activities August 25, 2001

Martha Swick Haynes and her committee have been working very hard to bring as many Brigadiers as possible to the September 14^th football game and to the Saturday Brunch, at 10:00 A. M. in the commons and cafeteria at Robert E Lee High School.

The deadline for responding that you will attend the Saturday Brunch is September 1^st. People are coming from all over the country and all ages, 17-87. Over 1,000 people have sent in their reservations.

Martha has just learned that the Brigadiers are to meet at Gate 4 on the southwest side of the stadium, Friday night. They will enter through that gate and will not have to purchase a game ticket. They will have a list of those eligible to enter.

Martha sent six articles from The Houston Chronicle and The Baytown Sun. Keith has scanned these and put them on the website with Acrobat Reader. If your system does not have Adobe’s Acrobat Reader, there is click point on the website for you to go to their website and download the free software.

Keith is going to try to rework the scanning because they are a little hard to read. Depending on the speed of your connections, they will take some time to download, so be patient. The Chronicle article of July 21^st is two full pages and will take time to download.
