Lee Note 55 Eddie Hollingsworth June 11, 2001

Dear Kay:

Someone asked if anyone remembered about the "Sap rising," I remember that very well. It was in the spring and coach Armstrong first year as Assistant Principal. Everybody was holding hands, cuddling, and lingering under the stairwells, between classes. Which, I think resulted in a lot of people being late for class.

So Coach Armstrong called assembly for the boys and said, "I know it is spring time and the sap is rising, but you boys are going to have to keep your hands off the girls." I think there was an assembly for the girls as well.

Margie Morris was trying to remember who helped her with the wreaker service when she had her wreck. That was James David Smith. His father had a garage and wreaker service on South Main and David drove the wrecker for him. He is the only one in our class that I personally remember driving a wrecker.

If anyone knows anything about Don Atkinson, Bobby Crenshaw, or Arthur Lindstrom, please let me know. When we were in the sixth grade at Alamo School, Arthur’s Dad would give him five dollars for Sunday School. Arthur would leave early, go to O' Brines grocery on the corner on Main and Cedar Bayou road get a gallon of ice cream, eat it on the way back to church and put what was left and the Sunday School offering.

Thanks for the Memories from all my fellow class mates and I hope we can continue to keep in touch like we are doing. A special THANKS TO KAY WRIGHT for starting this, I really have enjoyed all the e-mail that I have been getting. Thanks Again.
