Lee Note 35 Donna Bryan Memories May 3, 2001

Hello Kay and all our classmates!

I remember our Spanish teacher. She was Mildred Harrell. She trilled her rrrrrrrrrrrrs so well. When grade time came around, she went out in the hall with the grade book, called each one of us out in the hall to announce our grade, and if we cried and promised real well, she would raise our grade before she put it on the report card.

She also took naps with her head on the desk during class. She did make it her last two years to get her retirement. What a lady!!!!!

I remember Mr. Wedgeworth too. I was in plane geometry in his class with a ZERO average - me - an honor society member - and they called my daddy to the school. The only time he was ever called. My heart sank when I walked into Frank James' office and saw Daddy there. I was transferred to Evelyn Robson's class, took a test the next day and made 100.

It was my favorite class after the move and Daddy stayed home!!!!! And Evelyn was my favorite teacher, too, as well as a friend. Mrs. Kilgore's home EC class was where Harriet Hensler and I had a side job making appetizer trays for faculty member's parties. What fun!

Thanks for the memories!
