Lee Note 32 Margie Morris April 30, 2001

Hi Kay,

Have really been enjoying all the notes sent in by my classmates and have been able to get in touch with a number of old friends that I had wondered about all these years. This is really great.

In reading some of the things that have been passed on, one thing that happened our senior year that I will never forget was the day it snowed. I had saved my money from working at the Decker Drive Inn Snack Bar and had just purchased a 1954 Pontiac.

I was so proud of that car. It was a Friday and I asked my sister Judy (class of 1961) if we should try to drive home in the snow (we lived in Cody) or if we should take the bus. Well, after much discussion and not wanting to leave my car in the parking lot for the weekend, we decided to drive home.

Well, you can imagine never having driven in snow and the streets were covered. We went out the back way and head on into another car. When the wreckers got there, it was a big decision to make, as we really didn't have a lot of money.

Well, this is where I need the help from two guys from our class. I'm not sure who they were, but one of them worked for his father and drove the wrecker. I seem to remember it was Charles? Maybe someone on our list remembers driving a wrecker and offered to tow my car home at a cheaper rate than any of the other drivers and also let Judy and I ride with them. Help, guys - do you remember?

I am coming home next Thursday and will be at my Mother's in Houston. On Friday night we are having a party at Linda (Land) Ramsey's and a bunch of classmates will be getting together. After my return, I will send in a report. I am really looking forward to seeing some of the girls that didn't get to come to the reunion last summer.

Keep up the good work - until later.
