Lee Note 31 In Memoriam Two April 27, 2001
Dear Lee Friends,
Today I am going to give you the additional sad news reports that I have received since I gave you the list of deceased classmates. I have included a note that was sent from Roselie about Alfred Garcia. Lucy Sanders confirmed that Jerry McCartney, Jack’s twin brother had passed away from cancer. I called Jack and he told me that he had passed away in 1991.
Rand Evans sent the information that John Lee had died in 1999. He had a heart attack. Rand has been in touch with his daughter and she may send us a bio about John’s life.
This is the note from Roselie Del Toro:
Hello Kay,
I am saddened by the long list of class members that have passed away but I noticed that Alfred Garcia's name was not on the list. Alfred died of a massive heart attack back about 10 years or longer in California where he resided. He was a neighbor of mine when we were at Lee High School.
He was in the marines and went to the Cuban Crisis in 1962 and when he returned he stayed in California until his death; surviving him are twin daughters and his 2nd wife. Well, I thought I would let you know about this so it can be added to the list, ok?
And, Kay, keep up the good work.

This is the note from Tina Dickson:
Hi Kay,
As you will remember, Mike Wratten and I were very close friends from first grade through graduation. It is much to my regret that we lost touch after graduation. However, I talked with him when he was in town for his mother's funeral several years ago. I had not known of his death until last summer at the reunion. I was so saddened. We had many fun times together, especially during elementary and junior high years. Most of them revolved around church activities at Grace Methodist Church.
Doris, I too remember that trip to Galveston. I think I can put my finger on the pictures. If I can just figure out how to e-mail them, I will.
Mike, you were a wonderful friend and I miss you.
