Lee Note 15 Larry Shelton Memories April 5,2001

Not nearly as many as Gore, but:

The Quack Shack and dancing to Buddy Holley?

The time the geese flew over the stadium as we trounced Ball High and Art Lindstrom was fed the ball FOR A RUNNING - not a blocking - play?

Ms. Barbour being called out of third period to turn her car engine off. It was bumping into the Home Ec building - and then forgetting to return to class?

Ms. Plagens and her notes on the board, "copying notes the whole period?"

Ms. Plagens catching Bodink (Ed) Herndon carving on his desk and having him take the desk down to the office?

"Thaaaank yew!" over the intercom.

Mr. Johnson's hideaway with the one way glass.

Victory Dances at the HUMBLE (? HUMBLE - right?) Community House

How interested the senior guys were in the measurements the coach was taking for graduation gowns... till the coaches realized all of the senior girl's measurements had already been entered on the same form.

How few real worries we had back then, and how much time we had to COMMUNICATE with our friends,.. gosh, if I had just part of that time back now, and no more worries than I had then.

How about a thought for all of the parents who took part in the dances that we enjoyed? If they are still around, and that was your Mom or Dad, how about a mention to them from us, that they are still fondly remembered and appreciated?

Dull Razor Blues, yes, but even more so the feeling of PRIDE when that tune was blasted out... The spirit that was, is, Robert E. Lee.
