Lee Note 12 Marcia Beaugh April 2, 2001

Dear Kay,

Thanks so much for taking the time to keep us Lee graduates updated. I have already found some email addresses of long lost friends.

After living around the U.S.--Jackson Hole, Wyoming; Tallahassee, Florida; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Michigan--we recently moved to Forest, Virginia, from the Washington, D.C. area when my husband, Gary, retired. We have built a home on the fifth green at Ivy Hill Golf Course. Yes, we do play golf--a lot. I also recently retired from my business of fifteen years-- painting ceramic tiles.

Although I graduated from Baylor with an elementary education degree, I wasn't able to teach because of my kids and their special needs. We have two children who were both born with an unknown syndrome, which we now call the Marple Syndrome. They are great kids with mental and physical disabilities and we spend much time taking care of them. The house we built is handicapped accessible and is a great help to us.

Now I am excited about doing those things I put off for years. I love to quilt, cook, and read. I am looking forward to hearing from others of our class.
