Lee Note 123 Season’s Greetings from Kay Morrow Wright December 19, 2001

Every year I send a Christmas letter and when my girls were young, I sent pictures.  I mailed all those letters just after Thanksgiving because my snail mail address has changed.  I want to share some of that letter with you.  I don’t need to share all of it because two-thirds of the letter was about you.

I told the story of how I decided that we needed a way to communicate and now we are.  My greatest gift this year is knowing that many of you have found lost friends this year.  I am really looking forward to the ladies luncheon on December 27th in Baytown.  There is still room for more reservations, so call Linda Land Ramsey and tell her you are coming.  I know there are going to be people there whom I have not seen since the day we left Robert E. Lee.  It is going to be a great time!

So here are my Season’s Greetings to each of you.  I hope to see many more of you this next year.

Kay

Happy Holidays,

Another year has slipped away.  At times, I have still written 1999 and it still seems impossible that it will be 2002.

Life has been good for the girls.  Stacie is still with Dell and enjoying her job as a Quality Engineer.  Stephanie has had a really good year in real estate with all the interest rate cuts.  Stephanie’s husband, Keith, says he has had a bright group of students this year in his 8th grade classes.   Mother, my sister Timmie, and her husband have been at the Texas football games this fall in Austin as usual.  I have had several nice trips including Fargo, Phoenix, Irvine, CA and two trips to London.  I had a great Sunday at an Art Festival in Laguna Beach with a sorority sister from Irvine.

My big project this year has come from finally recognizing what my true avocation is.  I like helping people and reconnecting friends with each other, which is very possible now with the Internet.

My avocation is networking – helping people connect. I see it now that I have organized reunions for my sorority sisters, family, freshman dorm friends, and helped my classmates reconnect with people that they have missed seeing or talking to for many years.  People who thought they would never have a computer, now have one and are so excited about writing to friends they have not seen.  That is the great satisfaction that I received from this project.

Have a wonderful holiday season and give all your family a big hug.
