Lee Note 114 Update from Nita Garrison Davis November 16, 2001

Would you please update your records with my new email address...I've been off line since Sept. 21, 2001 and have truly missed the Lee news.

Unfortunately, the old email address went with the old job. I was one of many whose department was downsized at Continental Airlines after the events of Sept. 11, 2001. It was a shock at first, after working for the same company for the past 10 years, but I'm past that now and know that I'll find something I enjoy doing in the near future.

In the mean time Helen (Boucher Gerlich)and I have shopped till we dropped and have done many things that the working (8 to 5) person does not get to do often. I could get used to this, but I'm really not ready to retire yet.

I have flying privileges for about 6 months, so hopefully I'll get in a couple of trips, and since Helen is on as my flying companion she will have the same flying privileges. I'll have to get use to not being able to hop a plane whenever.

Helen, her husband Gil, and I met Tom Rhodes for dinner in Tyler on Halloween. We had a great time and a wonderful meal. We sat in the restaurant remembering days gone by. Strange how easy you can drop back to those days. Tom and I had a little trouble with some of the names, but Helen could remember all of them.

I look forward to receiving your emails once again and hearing all the news about all our fellow class members. I know you've been told many times, but I'll tell you again you've done a wonderful job of keeping us all informed and the web site that Keith has put together is great.
