Lee Note 101 Mexico Trip – Marilyn Ash September 6, 2001

Kay,

I have just returned from a marvelous vacation in Mexico. Gary (my companion) and I went to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for the Labor Day weekend. We stayed at the Majahuitas Resort. This resort is located miles away from the town of Puerto Vallarta and can only be reached by boat. We were picked up at the airport by taxi and taken to a boat dock and then took a 20 minute ride to the resort. This beautiful secluded beach awaited us. The staff ran out to greet us and welcome us to our private casita with hot and cold water but no electricity. Everything is lighted by candles. Three delicious meals are served by a very friendly staff.

Their literature says, "You'll find yourself absently arranging your days around the next mouth-watering meal." We could hardly wait to taste the food awaiting us. The activities for the day were: swimming, snorkeling, hiking or just plain doing nothing.

It was so relaxing. We met some very nice people and enjoyed their company and then we just had our quiet times together. Our stay was much too short and we were not ready to come home. I could have stayed for a week or two, it is that great. I definitely will be going back someday.

If anyone is interested in a nice get away from phones, television, and computers, this is the place to go. Their website is: mexicanbeachresort.com.
